Big Fake Wedding

We have some exciting news - Silver Orchard Creative will be a vendor at the September 13th Big Fake Wedding! If your not familiar with Big Fake Wedding, it is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. A real couple help us stage a fake wedding (it's their vow renewal). Just like a real wedding there will be a baker, a florist, invitations (that's us!), and it's our chance to really show off.

The colors are dark and bold but I won't give anything else away! You'll have to wait to see the master piece we are working on. But speaking of give-aways . . . we are giving away two tickets to the event (while supplies last). If your interested in coming to see the event yourself send me an email at, you can visit to view all the details about the event.

Hi there! For those of you who have been following us for a while, welcome to the new site! Pretty nice right? We think so too! To those of you who are just meeting us for the first time, it is fantastic to meet you! Let us tell you a little bit about ourselves.

Who is Silver Orchard?

We were founded by Christine about 3 years ago. She is the owner and primary contact and specializes in design and photography. Her mom, Kathy, has joined the team as a content strategist to help clients with content creation, editing, consulting and marketing.

Over 30 years of experience

Between the two of us, we have over 30 years of marketing experience, so if you have a challenge, it won't scare us.

Maryland based but we like to travel

We live and work in Columbia, Maryland but our clients have been all over the United States. For design, marketing, and custom invitations, we can work remotely from Maryland (thank you high speed internet!) and for photography and events, we fly out to meet our clients. So far we have traveled to California, Texas, and Indiana for conferences, not to mention covering the entire tri-state area for weddings and local events. Don't worry-we like to travel.

We have a passion for design and British Tea

We both work full-time in addition to running Silver Orchard and what keeps us going is a genuine passion for helping companies grow and fantastic tea from England.

What's in a name?

We get asked this a lot! Our name is inspired by another name-Christine's last name, Baumgarten. It's a German name translated to "tree garden," or Orchard. So why so much teal instead of Silver? As many of our logo and branding clients have learned, sometimes the design process just takes you on a path, and when it works, you just go with it.

We hope this is just the introduction and you spend some time to getting to know us. Tour the new site and introduce yourself!
